RE: Best Way To Sell A Dinghy

After some research I found more cars on EBAY than all other sites. Looks like EBAY is the best place to sell or buy a dinghy.

RE: Diesel Jeep Dinghy

mowermech I have heard that towing with a trailer is somewhat troublesome when you park at camp sites as most spaces aren't big enough to fit the trailer and motorhome. I would like to use my 15 foot open car trailer and save the expense of a towbar and brake control for the JEEP. Have you had problems with trailer accomodations? Extra fees?

RE: Electric brake controller wiring on a Jayco Seneca HD Kodiak

The Kodiak doesn't come with a plug. You must hard wire the controller in. Search forum for info, it has been posted several times.

RE: Did you factory order or buy off the dealer's lot?

I ordered to get free standing table with chairs and thermal windows. Most dealers donot stock units with these options. People seem to like the dining booth and dislike the high cost of thermal windows.

RE: Jayco recall

My recall notice for the hanger straps on the exhaust said Jayco will only fix those RV's with under 20,000 miles. So I guess if thier initial installation last 20,000 miles it was good for the life of the RV?!!!

RE: 2008 Seneca 36FS first impressions

The RVQ can be mounted in a lower position by reversing the holder so that it goes below the mounting bracket. Than the height is perfect. It is a little on the small size but I have found it suitable for grilling three good sized steaks.

RE: ULSD vs. DSL Diesel

ULSD gave me 6.6 mpg towing for the 412 miles between the Carney's Point, NJ Flying J and the Flying J at Wytheville, VA. With the DSL I went 7.9 mpg on the reverse trip between the two stations. Either the fuel or the altitude change, up hill vs down hill, was a factor.

RE: Kodiak diesel fuel filter change interval

I haven't had to change filters at the scheduled intervals:
At just under 5,000 miles the check engine light came on before the limp mode set in. I also went to the Dealer and found that it was bad fuel. I now always carry a spare fuel filter.
Since carrying the spare I have had two other occassions that I got a check engine light and pulled over to change filter which resolved the problem.
I use major brand diesel and still had three bad fillups within 24,000 miles.
I believe that you should change filter often, there is a lot of bad fuel out there , and carry a spare filter as a low cost alterative to a dealer visit!!!

RE: Staying Connected

I use a Verizon Broadband air card. It works well in most locations slow in others. Suprised with good reception when on Interstste 70 going through the hills in West Virginia at 70mph.
